These past couple of days have been truly awful for me. Not only have I been under an extreme amount of pressure, but I haven’t gotten as much rest as I would like. I’m not complaining about being stressed – that’s normal for me – but I am complaining about everything that comes from being stressed.
If you’re anything like me, you’ll understand what I’m talking out.
For some reason, being stressed tends to unleash a series of unfortunate events that make circumstances worst. Our stress leads to breakouts, which make us feel insecure about our appearance. So, not only are we worried about the thing that was stressing us before, but we’re also worried about how we look like.
Usually, when we’re stressed out we also don’t have a lot of time. We’re too focused on the issue that’s worrying us that we forget to do simple things like cooking and cleaning. Since we don’t ‘have time’ to cook, we seek the easiest meal that can satisfy our hunger. After we finish eating, we freak out for eating junk that makes us feel bloated and fat.
Now, not only are you even more stressed, but you’re also breaking out and freaking out about your weight. Great.
Can it get any worst?
It depends on how you react.
We’re all human, so falling off the fitness wagon is normal. We have to remind ourselves that 1) the thing that’s causing our stress is temporary, 2) the breakouts that we’re getting will eventually go away and 3) the additional calories that we ate can be burnt off in the gym in the next few days.
I know it’s hard to look in the mirror during those times and feel good about ourselves, but we have to do that so that we can end the destructive cycle.
Instead of stressing out even more about what’s going on, take a deep breath. Solve the issue that’s bothering you. Use your skincare products and let time heal your breakouts. Go to the gym and get back on track. It’s not easy, but it can be done.
After all, real champions always get back up.
